The Queen Elizabeth Way is a major controlled-access highway that connects Greater Toronto with the Niagara Peninsula The Golden Horseshoe is served by an extensive network of expressways the backbone of which is the Queen Elizabeth Way and Highway 401 one of the widest and busiest expressways in the world Public transit in the region is coordinated by Metrolinx.
